Ayrshire is a wonderful county filled with places to visit and explore. Bracken Barns Glamping is close to many historical sites such as Alloway, home of Robert Burns, Culzean Castle, many beaches and hill walks, picturesque villages and friendly locals to make you feel at home.

Holidays with the kids are perfect here as there is so much to do you'll be spoilt for choice. Please do check seasonal opening times etc to avoid disappointment!

Kirkmicheal has the Michelin registered Kirkmicheal Arms and their super friendly Community Cafe.
Kirkoswald has the famous Souters Inn and Whisky Shop,
Straiton has AMAZING views and the lovely Black Bull restaurant.
The Galloway Forest is just a few miles away, too...

Stunning for a walk, picnic, pub lunch or a paddle
Dunure is about 12 minutes drive from Bracken Barns. It boasts glorious sea views around the castle ruins, a bountiful rockpool and shell beach, playground, scenic harbour and two lovely places to eat. It even has stone BBQs on the clifftop for your own picnics!
Alloway Robert Burns' Birthplace
Museums, Pubs & Parks
Alloway is a village located on the River Doon. It is best known as the birthplace of Robert Burns and the setting for his poem "Tam o' Shanter". Tobias Bachope, the mason responsible for the construction of Hopetoun House, Craigiehall, and Kinross House, also hailed from Alloway. It boasts some lovely walks, pubs and cafes, the Robert Burns Museum and the famous, beautiful 'Brig a Doon' Bridge.
